Engineering-first studio
We met inside enterprise software, left the committee rooms behind, and built Lumon around one rule: software should be treated like a serious operating asset, not a ticket queue.

What makes us different
We are engineers who happen to run a company, not a sales operation wrapped around interchangeable delivery pods.
01
We're engineers who happen to run a business, not businesspeople who hired engineers. That difference shows in every line of code.
02
No juniors learning on your project. Every engineer has 5+ years of experience and ships production code from day one.
03
Marcus or Sarah personally review every project. You're not handed off to account managers who can't read code.
04
We don't do cookie-cutter. Every solution is designed around how your team actually works.
05
We've worked with fintech and healthcare clients. Security isn't a checkbox—it's how we build.
06
Weekly demos. Shared Slack channels. Full access to our codebase. No black boxes, no surprises.
Timeline
2017
Marcus and Sarah quit their corporate jobs and launched Lumon from a coworking space with nothing but two laptops and a shared vision.
2018
Word spread. A regional logistics company took a chance on us. We delivered ahead of schedule, and they're still a client today.
2019
Moved into our first real office. Hired only senior engineers—a policy we've kept ever since.
2020
The pandemic pushed us remote. Turns out, we work better this way. Now we hire the best talent regardless of location.
2022
Saw the wave coming early. Built a dedicated AI team to help clients integrate machine learning into their products.
2024
Hit a milestone we never expected when we started: 100+ successful projects across 12 countries. Still founder-led. Still engineering-first.
